The Resilient Athlete Digital Workbook

Introduction to the Workbook:

In the pursuit of athletic excellence, an athlete's ability their plus work ethic alone is not enough to guarantee success. Athletes need to include the right strategy.  Only by implementing the correct strategy will an athlete start to get the results they are looking for.

If your athlete is doing the wrong type of training, with the wrong type of thinking, then they are taking themselves further and further away from their destination and goals.

There is an old cliche that states, “sport is 90% mental and 10% physical”, yet for the majority of athletes their training does not reflect this statement. The majority of athletes train 100% of their physical skills and little to no percent on their mental skills.

The physical side of performance often gets the most attention, but mental performance is what keeps athletes motivated, focused and committed when change is hard or when the game is on the line.

Just like you can train your body to become bigger, stronger and faster; you can train your mind to become more focused, resilient and confident. Understand this as you go through THE RESILIENT ATHLETE workbook- mental control is the missing link to peak athletic performance.

By not focusing on your mental game, you are doing a disservice to your athletic performance. Your thoughts cause emotions and your emotions affect your performance. This is a continuous cycle that occurs in your brain during competition. Mentally tough athletes know how to control this cycle.

In order to perform your best, there are 3 pillars that you need to develop so you can climb the ladder of athletic success. These pillars include having an: Elite Mindset, Elite Concentration and Elite Confidence.  Athletes that are able to compete following these three pillars will be able to perform ahead of their competition.

The Resilient Athlete Workbook will help your athlete:
  • Set and Defines Goals.

  • Learn the importance of mindset

  • Assess their mental strength and weaknesses

  • Learn skills to Monitor their Emotions.

  • Learn skills to Build Confidence.

  • Plus much more...

Why should my athlete use this workbook?

As an elite mindset sports performance coach, one of the most common questions I get is, “How can my athlete compete with confidence?”

Your athlete must develop the mental game skill-sets necessary to master the mental aspects of the game if you want them to compete with confidence.

Confidence is not something that you can "pass" to an athlete. They must develop the neccessary skills in order for them to develop self-confidence.

I developed the resilent athlete workbook because athletes were struggling in their game, not from the physical aspects of their sport, but from the mental side.

Many sports coaches are moms and dads, or former athletes that have no idea about the skills of the mental game. They know the rules of their sport, they can teach the physical skills, and coach the game, but when an athlete is struggling with confidence or anxiety, that's not their area of expertise.

Coaches will use some rah-rah speech to build up their players or post quotes from professional athletes, but this is not teaching and coaching the mental game.

Because of this, the athlete's confidence is left to chance and if left unmanged or uncoached, the athlete will drift into a pattern of

low confidence + low performance

and thus will not find enjoyment in their game.

As an educator, I have experience in developing programs and as a mindset sports performance coach, I have the experience and the expertise to help athletes develop the mental strength skills that is needed to compete on the playing field.

Overcoming the mental barriers of sport is understanding the same mental skills that elite athletes use. Elite athlete struggle with the same issues, but the difference is they know "how to" control those issues so it doesn't affect their game.

So, if your athlete can learn the physical skills of their sport, then they have the capacity to learn mental skills as well.

Through The Resilient Athlete workbook,

I'll guide your athlete through a series of lessons and exercises that will help them develop the mental skills to develop a growth mindset, increase their concentration which will then develop their confidence.

The Resilient Athlete Formula
